Instruction
Note: All seam allowances are 1/2”
Cut 1 piece of fabric 13-1/2 wide x 16” long for caddy body (A)
Cut 2 pieces of fabric 4” wide x 21-1/2 long for straps
Caddy Body
On 13-1/2”” x 16” piece, finish the top and bottom edges by either serging the edges or by turning under 1/4” and pressing to the wrong side.
Fold down 1-1/4” to the wrong side on both top and bottom edges and machine hem. (B)
Straps
If using a light-weight fabric, sew each strap piece right sides together leaving an opening for turning. Turn right side out, then top-stitch 1/4” from all sides. Finished size will be 1-1/2”” x 20-1/2.”
If using heavier fabric (such as denim), press all seam allowances to the wrong side of fabric. Then, fold strap in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and top-stitch ¼” in from all sides. Finished size will be 1 ½” x 20 ½”
Construction
Lay straps on caddy 2 ½” from each side with one end of strap even with the top of the caddy. Sew onto caddy. (C)
Fold caddy in half with right sides together and sew side seams.(D)
Turn right side out. Add hook and loop tape onto ends of straps using an “X” configuration to secure or sew buttons and buttonholes onto straps for closures. (E & F)
